Police said Jayabal was dismissed from CRPF some six months ago and from then on was addicted to liquor and started beating his wife working in Armed Reserve Police.
Though the woman had earlier complained about the domestic violence, senior officials warned and counselled the man and send them home, police said.
However, the woman again lodged a complaint against her husband of physically assaulting her a couple of days ago, seeking more dowry and custody of their child, police said.
