Hundreds of former cadres, including Dilip Nunisa, Jewel Gorlosa and other top leaders of the once dreaded Dima Hasao Daogah, took part in the dharna and demanded immediate implementation of the Memorandum of Settlement (MoS) between the outfit and government, withdrawal of cases against DHD and DHD-J cadres and their rehabilitation, payment of ex-gratia grant to the cadre of the two outfits.
Formation of a Barman and Hojai Autonomous Council, immediate completion of broad gauge railway line at Mahasarak in the district, payment of regular salary to the N C Hills Autonomous Council employees were some of the other demands.
