An ex-serviceman was today arrested for allegedly killing a person and his son over a petty issue at Basant Kot village, police said.
Heera Singh (60) and his 24-year-old son Dilbag were constructing a temporary shed to store straw for animals and a piece of their construction structure fell near the house of their neighbour, Nirmal Singh, an ex-serviceman, they said.
Angered over the incident, Nirmal allegedly opened fire from his licensed double barrel gun on the father-son duo and shot them dead on the spot, police said.
A case has been registered against the accused who was absconding, they added.
