Ex-serviceman held for repeatedly raping daughter in Maha

A 41-year-old ex-serviceman was today arrested for allegedly repeatedly raping his teenage daughter, police said today.
The ex-serviceman currently works as a security guard with a bank. His second wife was also arrested for allegedly abetting the crime, Thane Police spokesperson Sukhada Narkar said in an official release.
The 17-year-old victim resided with her brother in Darbhanga district of Bihar. After death of their mother and as their elder sister got married, their father married another woman, the release said.
He along with second wife shifted to Thane. The victim on September 11 came to Thane and started living with the couple.

On October 1 at about 11.00 PM, her step-mother forced the girl to go to the room where her father was consuming alcohol. He forced her to drink alcohol and raped her in presence of his wife, said the release.
As per the release, after this, the ex-serviceman repeatedly raped his daughter on several occasions.

The mother asked the victim not to reveal her ordeal. The couple also locked the girl in the house and did not allow her to go out and even snatched her cell phone, it said.
The ex-serviceman also showed the victim "objectionable pictures" in his mobile and laptop and sexually abused her, the PRO added.

This morning at around 7.30, when her father had left for work and mother asleep, the victim managed to sneak out of the house and raised an alarm about the ordeal. She begged the neighbours to rescue her. However, her mother woke up and once again locked her in the house, said the release.
The victim once again raised an alarm by shouting from the balcony of the house when her mother had gone for a bath. Upon which, this time the neighbours rescued the girl and informed police.
Following a complaint, the duo were arrested by the Naupada police. A case under relevant sections of IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act of 2012 was registered, it said, adding the girl was lodged at the rescue home.
