Explosives found near track in Shahbad, rail traffic affected

Twelve trains halted as a precautionary measure

Explosives were found lying close to railway tracks near Shahbad railway station in Haryana's Kurukshetra district today, following which rrail traffic was briefly suspended on the route.

According to the police they were alerted by some passers-by who noticed the explosives in Dolu Majra village.

Police and army personnel reached the spot and took the explosives into their possession. Rail traffic on the route had to be temporarily suspended and a thorough search of the area was conducted, they said.

Twelve trains were stopped on the route for a while as a precautionary measure inccluding the Shan-ePunjab, the Delhi- Amritsar express and Kalka-Delhi Shatabdi.
