The interchange stations on this 56 km long corridor, which will be the longest in the Delhi Metro network, will be - Azadpur, Netaji Subhas Place, Rajouri Garden, Mayur Vihar 1, Karkarduma, Anand Vihar and Welcome.
At Anand Vihar, the new station will be adjacent to the already operational one and in the remaining stations, FOBs and ramps will be constructed.
"Due to constraints such as the inadequate availability of land near the existing stations and the direction of the alignment, it was very difficult to connect the new stations with the already operational ones," a statement said.
However, these FOBs and ramps have been designed keeping in mind the convenience of the commuters and will be equipped with lifts and escalators wherever required and the connectivity will be from one concourse to concourse.
