Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today assured Union Defence MinisterNirmala Sitharaman that his government was ready to resolve all issues related to defence lands in Maharashtra.
The defence minister assured Fadnavis of full cooperation from her ministry for facilitating the state government's development projects, an official release said here.
Fadnavis and Sitharaman discussed issues related to encroachment on Defence lands among other things at a meeting at Sahyadri Guest House.
The state government will ensure that benefits of Central and state government schemes reach the residents of Cantonment areas expeditiously, the chief minister said.
Union Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra and Additional Principal Secretary of State Finance Department U P S Madan were also present at the meeting.
