Fadnavis writes to Swaraj for securing Jadhav's release

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said he has written to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj urging her to secure the release of Kulbhushan Jadhav, who has been sentenced to death by a Pakistan military court.
Talking to reporters, he said BJP legislators expressed severe sentiments on the matter and met him with a demand to take it up with the Centre.
"The Centre is following up the issue. I have written to Sushma Swaraj. International pressure is building up and it will help us," the Chief Minister said.
Fadnavis said he condemns the action of Pakistan which is in an attempt to cover up its terror activities.

The Indian national was yesterday given death sentence for "espionage and sabotage activities" in Pakistan's restive Balochistan province and Karachi city.
