The judgement was passed by one of the special fast track courts set up here to try exclusively the cases of sexual offences.
Additional Sessions Judge Yogesh Khanna let off Faridabad resident Shakil Ahmed saying "nothing incriminating" has been said against the accused by the girl or her parents in their statements to prove the charges against him.
"In the statement of prosecutrix and her parents, nothing incriminating has come against the accused (Shakil) to prove the charges against him and as such the accused deserves to be acquitted for the offences under sections 328 (causing hurt by means of poison), 506 (criminal intimidation), 366 (kidnapping woman to compel her marriage), 376 (rape) of the IPC. Hence stands acquitted," the judge said.
According to the complaint lodged against Shakil by the 19-year-old girl on July 28, 2009, he had kidnapped her and made her sign some blank documents after giving her a drug laced with some drug.
When she regained consciousness, he told her that they were now married and he had a right to have sexual intercourse with her and if she did not agree to his demands he will make public objectionable pictures he had taken of her, the girl had alleged in her complaint.
In her deposition to the court, she, however, denied the contents of her statement and said the accused neither lured her away from her parents nor did he do anything wrong with her and she had made the complaint against him under the pressure of her family and neighbours.
