The victim Gulab Ali, was shot at by the father-son duo of Mohammed Ali and Shahrukh in Jalalabad town yesterday, after the former's son threatened to divorce his wife, they said.
A case against the accused was registered under relevant sections of IPC, police said, adding that the duo is absconding.
The victim has been shifted to hospital.
According to the police, Ali's son Shaukeen, who is working in Saudi Arabia allegedly threatened to divorce his wife Amna over phone.
The couple has been married for six years, police said, adding that the woman is presently living with her parents.
