A court here has awarded life imprisonment to a man and his son for killing their neighbour in 2016.
A fine of Rs 31,000 was also imposed on each of them.
The case was under trial in the court of additional district and sessions judge second, Mahfooz Ali.
On December 17, 2016, Azaharuddin a tenant in Kadrabad village of Modinagar opposed to his neighbour Sudeep Singh abusing him after consuming liquor, assistant district government counsel Rajiv Kumar Gurrzar said.
Following this, Sudeep and his father Chaman fired upon Azaharuddin using a country-made pistol. The victim died while undergoing treatment, he said.
