Indian Super League club FC Pune City added Eduardo Ferreira and Momar Ndoye to strengthen their foreign options for this year's edition of the football tournament.
FC Pune City CEO Gaurav Modwel said the two players bring speed, skill and strength to the overall combination of the team.
"Momar is a young talent with great potential and will add variety to our striking options upfront. Eduardo brings in wealth of experience and solidity at the back. Besides the young members of our team will learn a lot from his great work ethic," he said.
Momar joined Spanish club Atletico Madrid as a youth in 2007. The 24-year old Senegalese impressed the scouts there to then go on and play for the 'B' team of the former La Liga champions. In 2012, he was finally picked for the first team.
Ferreira, on the other hand, has ample experience of playing in South America, South Africa and Asian leagues. He spent his youth career playing for Fluminese, Flamengo, Corinthians.
The Equatoguinean journeyman has played in the South African Premier Soccer League with Ajax Cape Town, Mamelodi Sundowns, Mpumalanga Black Aces.
Head coach Antonio Habas said, "Eduardo is an experienced campaigner and makes our defence line up solid. As a centre back, Eduardo has all of the qualities to be a success in ISL - he's strong, he's excellent in the tackle and he's very good technically.
"At the same time, Ndoye brings more sharpness to our forward line. He will contribute a lot, as he's a player with outstanding talent and quality. He can unsettle opponents, score goals and give spectacular performances."
Eduardo, who currently is playing in the Persian Gulf Pro League, said. "I am thankful to FC Pune City for providing me a new challenge. This will be a new experience for me and I am excited to come to India and do what I do the best."
Ndoye was excited about working with Habas, a former Atletico player himself. "I have heard great things about the Indian Super League and want to make the most of my experience of playing in India."
Co-owner and Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan welcomed the dual addition. "Eduardo and N'Doye will add strength and depth to our squad. I wish them all the best for the upcoming season.
