Not finding much disparities between studying pure science and excelling in show-biz, the 'Femina Miss India Kolkata 2014' winner Sonal Rihani says she idolises Mehar Castelino among the pageant winners.
The girl from an Army family background said she was inspired by the way Mehar carried herself with so much elan and conviction in whatever she did years back and turned to be a style icon for women of her times.
"Of course you won't be wearing a saree while hitting the sea beach and a casual wear at formal parties. And besides one should wear things she was comfortable in," Rhani said to a question about how she looked at the bikini and swimwear rounds at pagents.
The Organic Chemistry student, who found no yawns between a stint in glamour/modelling/acting and pure science, said after the pageant round she wished to finish her academic course first. "I wish to be a "beauty queen of substance," she said.
Zennyla Bhutia and Shreya Chaudhary were crowned the first and second runner-up of FBB Femina Miss India Kolkata' respectively.
The pageant saw 13 shortlisted finalists from the East Zone - Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Patna and Ranchi - competing for the coveted title.
The jury members included Tollywood diva Rituparna Sengupta, actor Barkha Bisht Sengupta, entrepreneur Madhu Neotia and designer duo Dev and Nil.
