The Jharkhand High Court today asked CBI to file counter affidavits on missing children within two weeks.
A division bench of Justices N N Tiwari and S Chandrasekhar allowed two-week time to the investigating agency to file a detailed counter affidavit regarding the actions taken by it in tracing the missing children.
The bench has been hearing the three PILs which were clubbed together.
The petitioners claimed that only 1,204 among the 1,777 children missing since 2008 could be traced while the rest 573 kids are still untraceable.
