The 15th Finance Commission held meetings with Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and other officials during its visit to the state, an official statEment said.
The Commission, which is headed by N K Singh, also held wide ranging interactions with the leaders of various political parties, tribal leaders, local bodies and businesses people with regard to opportunities and challenges being faced by the people in the state.
The Commission also met State Governor Brigadier B D Mishra.
Khandu gave detailed presentations to the Commission on the finances of the state government and the efforts by it towards development.
The Commission will finalise its recommendations by October 2019 after completing its discussions with Centre, all the state governments and relevant stakeholders.
