Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Hoshiarpur, was sitting in his office when Kuldip singh, Bau Singh and their two unidentified accomplices arrived and one of them allegedly opened fire at him last night, they said.
The victim was admitted to a civil hospital after the incident.
A case has been registered against the four accused, police said.
"We are trying to ascertain the cause behind the incident," they added.
