Police said Congress Yadav, who runs a line hotel near Amraur village in Begusarai district, has filed the FIR at Singhaul additional police station against the JD(U) MLA and the others under section 307 (attempt to murder), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and other sections of the IPC.
Yadav in his complaint alleged that the JD(U) MLA, who represents Matihani assembly seat, his brothers Sanjeev and Gopal, besides two supporters, Ramadhar Singh and Sumit Singh and security guard, came to his line hotel last night, pointed a pistol at his head and assaulted him.
A probe has been launched into the case, the police said.
