A fire broke out at C sector area in Naharlagun, near here Tuesday reducing a house and a barrack to ashes but there was no report of any casualty, police said.
Another house was also partially damaged in the fire which started at around 11.30 am near Little Rose School, they said.
Property worth over several lakh were damaged in the incident, Naharlagun police station officer in charge K Yangfo informed adding there were no report of any casualty.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, the OC said and added that two gas cylinders also exploded in the fire mishap.
Two fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the inferno, he added.
