Fire breaks out at Tirumala temple kitchen

A fire broke out in the 'laddu prasadam'-making kitchen of Lord Venkateswara shrine near here today, temple sources said.
No one was hurt and there was no loss of property in the incident, sources said.
The fire broke out when the ghee-soaked walls caught fire from the embers of an oven, they said.
The blaze was brought under control initially by the kitchen staff who prevented it from spreading to other areas with the help of fire extinguishers before fire department personnel arrived and doused the flames,they added.
