Fire breaks out in Jammu hotel

Fire broke out in a hotel here today destroying some essential items and furniture.
The fire broke out this morning in the multi-storey Hotel Premier on Residency Road area due to short circuit in basement cum godown of the hotel, a police officer said.
After receiving information, several fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire, he said, adding that all the guests and staff were rescued from the hotel and the fire was prevented from spreading to other buildings.
Essential items, furniture and some other items were destroyed in the fire which was controlled after a three-hour long operation.
Nobody was hurt in the fire, he said.
