Fire in garment showroom

Cloths worth lakhs of rupees were gutted in a fire, which broke out today in a three-storey garment showroom in main bazaar on Phagwara-Banga road, police said.
It took over three hours for fire fighting engines to control the flames, the exact cause of which is yet to be ascertained, they said.
The upper storey was completely gutted in the blaze, police said, adding that the total value of the loss is being ascertained.
A Fire Brigade employee Raj Kumar sustained head injuries after he was hit by some object, which fell down on him from the fire-engulfed building, police said.
