A fire broke out in a mosque
adjacent to a shrine in Pulwama district of south Kashmir, causing extensive damage to it.
The fire broke out late last night in the mosque near the shrine of saint Hazrat Syed Mohammad Isfahni at Raj Mahal Bundzoo village, damaging the mosque completely, a police spokesman said.
There was no damage to the shrine in the fire, he said.
The cause of the fire was not known immediately.
Police have registered a case and investigations are on, the spokesman said.
