under-construction Egra Super Speciality hospital in Egra subdivision of East Midnapore district today.
The fire broke out at around noon on the sixth floor of the building and then spread over the next two floors, East Midnapore SP Alok Rajoria told PTI.
"Nobody was injured in the fire as four fire tenders from Egra and Contai fought for around an hour and the fire is under control," Rajoria said.
Though the cause of the fire was still not clear, primarily it seemed to a cause of short circuit in the building, the SP added.
"Till now no complaint has been made regarding the fire and going by the initial report there does not seem to be any foul play. We have sought the detailed report from the fire department," Rajoria said.
