"The first batch reached the second camp along the route at Gala today and will begin their journey to Bundi camp from Thursday morning," KMVN GM (Tourism) Trilok Singh Martolia said.
Adequate arrangements have been made at the four camps located along the 82 Km trek route to Kailash-Mansarowar, he said.
Last evening, the batch of 55 pilgrims had reached the first camp along the trek route at Sirkha from Dharchula base camp, the official said.
Disaster mitigation and rescue personnel from ITBP have also been deployed at sensitive points along the route, he said.
"We are expecting over 900 pilgrims in 18 batches this year," Martolia said.
