The five youths, who work in a travel agency in Delhi, had stopped their car in the middle of a road outside GIP Mall last night, obstructing traffic, police said.
When constable Girivar Singh, who was on duty, asked them to remove their car, one of the youths entered into a brawl and threatened the cop, saying he was a relative of some top police officer of Madhya Pradesh.
The men, who were in inebriated condition, beat up the cop, police said.
Soon after the fight, police reached the site and arrested the youths -- Jagvir, Sukhvir, Jagdip, Rohan and Hemant. PTI CORR
