The police have arrested five people and recovered 20 grams of heroin from them, officials said on Thursday.
A police team nabbed the five men while patrolling near Shouga Nullah in Nirmand tehsil on Wednesday, said Kullu Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh.
The five men, who were travelling in an Alto car, have been identified as Kailash Chand (34), Pradeep Kumar (27), Hemant Kumar (33), Dharam Pal (22) and Amit Kumar (30).
They were arrested following the recovery of 20 grams of heroin, he said.
An FIR under sections 21, 25 and 29 of narcotic drugs and psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at the Brow police station, he added.
