The arrests were made late last night near a temple following a tip-off. The car in which the miscreants were travelling has also been seized
"They were planning to commit crimes when they were held. We are investigating their movements. They have been involved in over half a dozen criminal cases," Rohtas Superintendent of Police (SP) Chandan Kumar Kushwaha said.
The five arrested persons have been identified as Akhilesh Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Dhanji Chaudhary, Mahendra Kumar and Indra Ram.
