Enraged over an objectionable post by a man on social media, a group of people had allegedly vandalised a police station in suburban Trombay where he was kept after being arrested.
The crowd was demanding that the accused be handed over to them and set afire police vehicles outside the police station.
A case of rioting was registered against the mob that attacked the police station.
Police have arrested 29 people till date in connection with the incident.
