Urmila Vatti, a woman naxal who was carrying a reward of Rs eight lakh, surrendered before the police at Kondagaon district police headquarters, a senior official said.
She was the member of No 6 Company of the Naxals and was forced to join the group at the age of 14 when ultras took her with them, he said, adding she decided to surrender after she was fed with alleged sexual harassment by them.
Police said that the surrendered naxals were in touch with them for some time, as they claimed that naxal leaders of Andhra Pradesh were harassing the naxals cadres of Chhatishgarh and also women ultras were being sexually harassed.
Naxals would be rehabilitated as per the government's policy, police said.
