Thane Sessions Judge V V Virkar, who pronounced the sentence, also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of the five convicts.
According to the prosecution, Hemangi Hemant Rao, who was 19 years of age at the time of the incident, consumed poison on February 5, 2010 as she was fed up with constant torture by her in-laws for dowry.
The court sentenced the victim's husband Hemant Damodar Rao (30), mother-in-law Urmila D Rao (48), father-in-law Damodar D Rao (62), sister-in-law Sudarshana Dinesh Patil (26) and Dinesh Gajanan Patil (35), all residents of Goundmal village in Wada taluka in the district, prosecutor Ruma Navale said.
