Inspired by crime-based television shows, six people from Delhi and Haryana planned the kidnapping of an 11-year-old boy from Narela.
The 11-year-old boy was kidnapped a couple of weeks back from Narela market where he had gone to meet his relatives with his mother, police said.
The kidnappers called the boy's father demanding a ransom of Rs one crore but after the family expressed its inability to pay such a high amount, the kidnappers brought down their demand, they said.
During interrogation, it has emerged that Pawan had drawn inspiration from crime shows that frequently show such episodes of kidnapping. Since Pawan had previous experience of working as a compounder with a physician, he knew which drugs would sedate the kid.
