Search is on for 21 others, police said.
The festival is being held for the last two days at the Kaliamman kovil and last night, a group of people went to the temple and found it locked over which they quarrelled with the other group leading to the clash, police said.
They threw stones at each other and some houses and a pandal put up for the festival were damaged.
Nine persons including two women were injured in the incident, police said.
