Five women killed in autorickshaw-bus collision

Five women were killed when their autorickshaw collided with a bus in the district today, police said.
The accident occurred near Lodpally village under Bejjur Mandal in Adilabad when the autorickshaw, heading towards Penchikalpet, collided with a road transport bus coming from opposite direction, a police officer said.
All the deceased women were around 35 years of age, he said adding that the bodies were sent for postmortem.
Sirpur MLA Koneru Konappa reached the spot and expressed condolences to the bereaved families.
A case has been registered and further investigation is on into the mishap, police added.
