Flesh trade racket busted, 6 women among 9 apprehended

City police today claimed to have busted an alleged flesh trade racket after it conducted raids at two places here and took into custody nine persons, including six women.
"Acting on a tip-off, two police teams conducted raids at Choube Colony and Gurjar Boarding area here to expose the racket being operated from two separate houses," Harda Additional Superintendent of Police, Kiranlata Kerketta said.
Six women and three men were taken into custody and three mobile phones and objectionable material recovered from their possession, she said.
"Cases will be registered against them and if the girls were found to be minor, then they would be sent to rehabilitation centre," the ASP added.
