Airport witnessed shallow fog during the night and early morning, but it had no impact on flight movements as the runway visibility remained over 1,000 metres, except for few hours when it dipped to 200 metres.
Visibility dropped to 200 metres at the main runway around 3 AM but within half-an-hour it increased to more than 1,500 metres. Similarly, the visibility at third runway dipped to 350 metres.
"There was no delay or cancellation due to fog at the IGI airport. However, nine flights were cancelled and 22 delayed due to operational reasons or bad weather at destinations," an airport official said.
Yesterday, around 50 flights were affected due to dense fog. Arrival or departure of around 20 flights was cancelled either due to operational reasons or due to bad weather conditions.
