River Ganga, which had been in spate, was now static at Bulandshahr, Kanpur and Rae Bareli, while it is receding at Farrukhabad , Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Allahabad, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Ballia and Gazipur, officials said.

Besides, Sharda at Palia Kalan, Ghaghra at Turtipar, Rapti at Balrampur and Gorakhpur, Budhi Rapti at Kakrahi and Quano at Gonda were flowing above the red mark, the officials said.
