Forest officer lands in ACB net

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today trapped a Deputy Range Officer of Gummadidala section of Narsapur Forest Range in Medak district of Telangana for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000, an official release said here.
P Veeresham was trapped in Forest Range Office at Narsapur, when he demanded and accepted the bribe of Rs 15,000 from a complainant to process and forward his application for permission for transportation of teak wood grown by him in a Tellapur village, the release said.
The process to arrest the accused officer has been initiated and further investigation is on, it added.
