Former Babbar Khalsa commander arrested

Police today claimed to have arrested a former commander of banned militant outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).
Kashmir Singh was arrested at a check point outside Narpur village here with 1.30 kg of narcotics, police said, adding during preliminary investigation it was found that Singh was also a former commander of BKI.
He was earlier arrested by Phagwara police for possessing 10 kg of heroin in year 2004. Though, he had managed to give a slip to the police while on parole in 2011.
Singh was wanted in several cases of murder and involvement in terrorist activities at various police stations in Punjab and Haryana, they said.
