Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan was stuck in a lift for more than half an hour today, which was eventually opened with the assistance of fire brigade officials.
State Congress general secretary Sanjay Dutt, who was with Chavan at the time, said when they got into the lift of Ravindra Mansion in south Mumbai, which houses Chavan's office, and pressed the button, the lift got stuck and its doors got jammed.
Fire brigade officials eventually broke open the door, Dutt said.
