Amonkar, two time BJP legislator from then Pale constituency, which is now renamed as Sankhalim, had contested 2012 election as an independent candidate after BJP refused him the ticket.
"I had not renewed my membership with BJP hence I was without any political affiliation," said Amonkar, who was the health minister in the thenManohar Parrikar-led Goa government.
Though many GSM leaders have been criticising Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Amonkar said he would not comment anything against anyone.
Shiv Sena has in-principal agreed for an alliance with GSM.
