Former Judge of Guwahati HC and wage board chairman dies

Former Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court R K Manisana died here due to cardiac arrest, his family said today.
Manisana (82) had accidentally hit a pillar in his house at Sega Road here and was immediately rushed to a hospital.
He had a cardiac arrest and doctors attending him declared him dead at 11.40 AM yesterday, family members said.
Manisana was also a former advocate general of Manipur and later became Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court, officials said.
He was the chairman of wage board for journalists and non-journalists to fix their salaries in 1995. He began his career after passing BSc and LLB in 1956, they said.
