Suman, a resident of SGM Nagar in the city, was alone last afternoon when accused Pravesh barged into the house, took her at gunpoint and asked to hand over the keys of the almirah in which the valuables were kept, they said.
The accused decamped with rupees one lakh and some gold jewellery, whose value is yet to be ascertained, Station House Officer (SHO) Shiv Kumar said.
A case has been registered at Police Station SGM Nagar under sections 392 and 452 of IPC. Section 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms act were also added to the complaint, the SHO added.
