Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today backed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his face off with Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung saying the head of the government should be free to choose his own team of officers.
"Like it or not, right choice or wrong, a CM must be free to choose his or her own team of officers. This back seat driving damages democracy," Omar posted on Twitter.
The National Conference working president also lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying there was a gap in his words and deeds on Federalism.
"Just yesterday the PM was talking up Federalism in India while in China. Clearly there is a gap between words and deeds #DelhiGovt," he added.
