The personal secretary of former Governor of Uttar Pradesh Aziz Qureshi has claimed the latter received a threat call for giving statements against communal and diversionary forces.
Qureshi's personal secretary P B Sharma in a letter to the state's Special Secretary (protocol) requested him to provide adequate security to the former Governor, who would be visiting Ballia tomorrow.
Sharma said, "Qureshi recently gave statements against communal and diversionary forces and criticised terrorism, following which the former Governor received a threat call."
Superintendent of Police Manoj Jha said adequate security arrangements would be made for Qureshi's visit here.
