Over 900 engineering students from 36 colleges from across India, participated in the six-day event, which began on January 20 at Kari Motor Speedway here.
The designs were evaluated by a panel, consisting of Ian Thomson, with a rich experience in international motorsports; Maria Bonilla-Torres, System Designer for Robert Bosch GmbH and Felix Scherke, Research Engineer at Daimler, a release from J K Tyres said today.
On the concluding day yesterday, Team Orion Racing won the overall championship, while Team Formula Manipal, Manipal University and Pravega Racing, VIT University stood at second and third positions respectively, it said.
In dynamic events also KJ Somaiya performed well and won Endurance and Fuel efficiency events, it said.
Team Formula Manipal was the winner in Acceleration and Skidpad events while Team Octane of COE, Pune won the Autocross event.
