Rahis, Mubarak, Jamshed and Aarif were arrested for the murder of Yashpal Singh on August 24 this year, police said today.
During investigations, police established that Mewati gang might be involved in the murder. Some eye-witnesses had said those gangs which pick cows for slaughtering from the rural areas of Delhi might be behind the incident.
Acting on a specific input, police laid a trap and arrested Rahis from old Gurgaon road.
During interrogation, he disclosed that in the intervening night of August 23 and August 24, he along with his nine associates came in a Tata 407 Tempo to pick up cows for slaughtering in the area of Jharoda.
Yashpal, who happened to go to the area, saw cows being transferred into a bus and stopped their tempo, but was resisted by the gang.
During the scuffle, gang members shot the head constable, police said.
Later, the other three accused were arrested.
