Four get 10 year prison for attacking police

Four persons, including three brothers, have been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment by a local court here for attacking a police party.
Five policemen were injured in the March 1999 attack in Phephna village when a police team had gone there in connection with an arrest, prosecution sources said here.
A chargesheet was filed against Murtaza, his sons Jabir, Zakir, Kajiri and one Shivnath Singh, they said, adding that Murtaza died during the trial.
On the basis of evidences, Additional District Judge Shakeel Ahmad Khan yesterday held the other four accused guilty and also levied a penalty of Rs 5,000 each.
