Four people, including two children were injured in an attack by a knife-wielding man near the international retail store Carrefour here today, police said.
A witness described the attacker as "an elderly man," adding that the injured have been taken to a hospital.
The police has cordoned off the area.
People are not allowed into the store, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
Social revenge attacks by disgruntled people are becoming frequent in China.
This is second such attack in recent time.
An American woman along with a local person was killed in one such attacks at a mall here on July 18.
