The mishap took place when the paddy-laden truck in which they were travelling overturned and plunged into a pond after the driver lost control over the vehicle due to thick fog in the wee-hours today, District Magistrate Anil Kumar said.
While four labourers were killed, one person went missing, he said.
The injured were rushed to a primary health centre at Tariani block, Kumar said.
The bodies of four victims were fished out of the pond and efforts were on to locate the missing person.
The labourers were returning to their native villages in Sheohar district after harvesting paddy in the Bhojpur district, he said.
