Police said the truck had rammed into a route bus, which in turn hit an SUV killing one person on the spot.
The deceased was a passenger of the bus travelling from Panchla in Howrah to Dunlop More in Kolkata.
Three others, who were injured critically, were rushed to a nearby hospital where they died during treatment, police added.
